Low to net zero carbon technical solutions for the manufacturing sector

We are an established consultancy specialising in implementing low to net zero carbon strategies and designing and installing automated monitoring and targeting (aM&T) systems and renewable solutions for our manufacturing clients.

Having recently won a prestigious project delivering energy efficiency and decarbonisation solutions to the manufacturing companies within the West Midlands region, we are looking to recruit an experienced sales engineer to strengthen our sales support team. The candidate for the post should be a great communicator with a proven track record of client engagement at director level and technical sales experience in the fields of implementation of aM&T systems, energy management and low and net-zero carbon technologies.

You will work with a team of consultants and technical support team who develop and deliver low and net-zero carbon strategies and technical solutions to decarbonise the energy intensive manufacturing sectors. You will provide sales support role described below to increase the market share of the organisation within the Black Country, Worcestershire, Shropshire, and Staffordshire and to the energy intensive manufacturing sectors of the economy.

Our offices are located in Rugby, Warwickshire. The role is primarily office based, with some flexibility to work from home, however the role clearly involves regular travel to meet with clients and prospective clients, in the aforementioned geographic areas, and potentially to clients outside of these areas.

The Role:

  • Establishing new and developing and maintaining existing relationships with existing clients.
  • Identifying opportunities, preparing technical solutions, writing proposals, and presenting fully costed Low and net-zero Carbon strategies to the clients in the energy intensive manufacturing sectors.
  • The preparation of proposals and writing tenders.
  • The project proposals could include process optimisation strategies, low and net-zero carbon strategies, renewable and low carbon technologies such as solar arrays, biomass, and CHP plant. They also could include energy efficient ancillary equipment solutions such as lighting, heating, compressed air generation and distribution systems, Power Factor Correction and inverter drive technologies for extraction systems and pumps.
  • Identifying sales opportunities from changes in the energy and environmental regulatory framework relating to the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrating and selling our automated Monitoring and Targeting system (aM&T).
  • Presenting the automated Carbon Footprinting Accounting and Reporting (CFAR) software to energy intensive companies and their supply chain.
  • Supporting marketing and sales activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Work closely with a team of consultants and technical support team to develop elegant solutions to decarbonise manufacturing operations and their supply chain.
  • Work with our marketing team to establish appropriate networks and interest groups.

 

Essential skills & experience:

  • Experience in engineering/ technical sales to manufacturers, with a proven track record of sales. 3 - 5 years minimum
  • Highly professional and adaptable communications skills – you will need to engage with our clients at board level and on the shop floor.
  • Outstanding presentation skills to technical and management teams.
  • Liaising with Pro Enviro consultants and technical and administrative support team to ensure best solutions are identified, sold, and delivered.
  • Excellent technical report and proposal writing skills.
  • Experience of using/updating a CRM system daily, as a progress record and planning tool.
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets.
  • Clean UK driving license.
