Green Solutions
Is your business looking for support on how to reduce your costs and become greener?
Green Solutions is a programme that offers support to businesses in Staffordshire Local Authority areas (except Stoke-on-Trent) to enable you to take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Green Solutions is funded by Stafford Borough Council, South Staffs District Council and East Staffordshire District Council using UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and Staffordshire County Council.
You can access support from any of these:
Carbon Literacy Training. This FREE 8-hour training course will provide you the knowledge and skills to take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. You can choose whether to attend an in-person or online course, and the training is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project, you can book a place on the course on their website.
Energy Efficiency Review. This FREE review will look at your energy consumption and provide you with recommendations to save money and reduce your carbon emissions.
Low Carbon Grant. A grant of between £1,000 and £20,000 (cover up to 50% of eligible costs) is available per business to implement any of the recommendations from the Energy Efficiency Review.
Energy Efficiency Review
Your business can access an Energy Efficiency Review, that is delivered by independent specialists, Pro Enviro Ltd., and is completely free of charge, if your business:
Trade from premises in a Staffordshire Local Authority area (except Stoke-on-Trent)
Does not receive public funding to operate.
Is registered on Companies House.
Has been trading for at least 12 months
Has used more than 45,000kWh energy in the last 12 months. Energy bills will be required to evidence this.
Has not received over £315,000 in subsidies in the current and previous two financial years (financial year being 1 April to 31 March).
The Energy Efficiency Review is fully subsidised. This means that you, the recipient business, will not need to contribute any finance towards it, although the value of the subsidy will be notified to you and taken from our allocation of funds on your behalf.
Low Carbon Grant
Your business can access a Low Carbon Grant, delivered by Staffordshire County Council and partly subsidised using UK Shared Prosperity Funding, if your business:
Trade from premises in a participating Staffordshire Local Authority area: Stafford Borough Council, South Staffordshire District Council, East Staffordshire District Council
Does not receive public funding to operate.
Is registered on Companies House.
Has been trading for at least 12 months
Has not received over £315,000 in subsidies in the current and previous two financial years (financial year being 1 April to 31 March).
The Low Carbon Grant is partly subsidised. This means that you, the recipient business, will need to contribute finance towards project costs.
