We have worked with Pro Enviro for over 15 years, long before Net Zero became in focus. We are a manufacturer of steel forgings, established over 140 years ago, where energy is the third largest cost of its operation. We have worked with Pro Enviro over those years to improve our energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
In recent years we have worked with Pro Enviro to further pursue our Net Zero goals. We have received great support from using the Energy and Carbon Portal (ECP). This has greatly assisted in developing our decarbonisation and sustainability strategies.
We have worked with them on various feasibility studies, the most recent of which was through the "Business Energy Efficiency Grants Programme (BEEGP)". Pro Enviro carried out an" Audit for Energy Intensive Users where they identified 1 O potential opportunities for energy reduction and decarbonisation. Following that they assisted us with technical and management support in producing our application for grant funding to implement some of the opportunities that Pro Enviro had identified. Our application was successful, and we have implemented several of these opportunities and improved our energy efficiency and decarbonisation because of that.
Our partnership in working with Pro Enviro has been invaluable to our business sustainability and has undoubtedly contributed to our business improvement. This long-established business in a mature traditional industry hopes to be around for another 140 years and Pro Enviro have played their part in that.
