This shows what proportion of your annual electricity use falls on each day of the week. A high weekend share often points to equipment left running, compressed air leaks or heating and ventilation on the wrong schedule, all of which are straightforward to address once identified.

What is your site's minimum energy use?

This chart compares consumption on your lowest recorded days, typically over the Christmas shutdown, when production is at a standstill. The energy still being used represents your site's true baseload, the unavoidable minimum drawn just to keep the building ticking over.

A high baseload relative to your operational consumption is a red flag. It often points to equipment that was never switched off, refrigeration running inefficiently or heating left on full during a closure, all of which represent easy wins with no impact on production.

What does a typical day look like?

This shows your average energy "shape" across the day. We look at how early consumption ramps up before production starts, how cleanly it drops off afterwards and how large your overnight baseload is, as these are key indicators of where savings can be found.

Your Authorised Supply Capacity (ASC) is what you're contracted to draw from the grid, and you pay for it regardless of whether you use it. If your peak demand consistently falls well below this limit, there may be scope to renegotiate your contract and cut standing charges.
