Carbon Footprinting, Accounting and Reporting
CFAR simplifies carbon accounting by tracking Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in one platform.
What is carbon footprinting and accounting?
Carbon accounting measures the greenhouse gases produced directly and indirectly by an organisation's activities. It provides the quantified, auditable emissions data that underpins reporting obligations, net-zero strategies, and supply chain transparency requirements.
Demand for robust GHG accounting is growing rapidly. Regulatory requirements, investor expectations, and customer procurement criteria are all driving organisations to understand and report their emissions accurately across all three scopes.
Understanding the three scopes
Scope 1
Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, such as combustion in boilers, furnaces, and company vehicles.
Scope 2
Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, or steam consumed by the organisation.
Scope 3
All other indirect emissions across the value chain, including supply chain, logistics, business travel, and product use.

What CFAR provides
Quantify emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 using appropriate methodologies aligned with the GHG Protocol.
Monthly carbon emissions represented in clear, accessible charts and dashboards that make data easy to interpret and share.
Identify the largest contributors to your site's carbon emissions and prioritise where reduction action will have the most impact.
Provides the carbon and GHG data required for Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting and Companies House submissions.
Respond to customer and OEM requests for carbon data in tenders and procurement processes with accurate, verified figures.
Use CFAR data as the foundation for building net-zero carbon reduction strategies and tracking progress against targets.
Common carbon accounting frameworks
CFAR aligns with the most widely used international frameworks for GHG reporting. The four most commonly used by organisations are the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, the EPA's GHG Inventory Guidance, ISO Standard 14064, and the Climate Registry's General Reporting Protocol (GRP). Pro Enviro will advise on the most appropriate framework for your sector and reporting obligations.
