LED Lighting
Lighting is one of the most straightforward energy efficiency improvements available to manufacturers. For sites still running fluorescent or high-pressure sodium fittings, switching to LED typically cuts lighting energy consumption by 60 to 70% and delivers payback in two to three years at current electricity prices.
Pro Enviro surveys your site, designs the most cost-effective lighting scheme, and manages installation through qualified partners. Where smart controls - occupancy sensors, daylight harvesting, and zonal switching - can push savings further, we specify and include those too.

THE NUMBERS
A typical 10,000 square metre manufacturing site running 400W metal halide high bays can spend £40,000 to £60,000 per year on lighting electricity alone. Replacing with 150W LED high bays with occupancy sensing typically reduces that to £12,000 to £18,000 - a saving of over £25,000 per year with no change to light output.
Savings by upgrade type

Indicative energy savings vs traditional lighting. Smart controls increase savings further beyond the fitting upgrade alone.
What we do
Site lighting survey
Full inventory of existing fittings, wattages, hours of use, and control systems.
Energy and savings modelling
Projected annual savings, payback period, and carbon reduction for each option.
LED scheme design
Fitting specification, lux level calculations to CIBSE standards, and layout drawings.
Smart controls assessment
Occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, and zonal switching recommendations.
Installation management
Project managed through qualified electrical contractors with minimal production downtime.
Post-installation monitoring
SEE Change or sub-metering to verify savings against the pre-installation baseline.
Is a lighting upgrade right for your site?
Sites with fluorescent T8 or T12 tubes, metal halide, or high-pressure sodium fittings will see the largest savings.
Sites running lighting for eight or more hours per day have the fastest payback periods.
Areas with high ceilings - warehouses, production halls, storage - benefit most from LED high bay replacements.
Sites without occupancy sensing or daylight controls have additional savings available beyond the fitting upgrade.
Lighting upgrades are eligible for inclusion in ESOS audit action plans and can contribute to SECR reporting.
