Pro Enviro Welcomes Its First Non-Executive Director

Pro Enviro is delighted to announce the appointment of our first Non‑Executive Director — an important milestone in our 30‑year journey. Managing Director, Nersi Salehi, reflects on what this moment means for the company:

“Diane and I started Pro Enviro more than 30 years ago with a simple aim: to help businesses use energy more wisely. We never imagined that our small consultancy would grow into the company it is today. It’s been an exciting, challenging and deeply rewarding journey.

“What has driven us throughout is the privilege of working with businesses across the West Midlands — helping them cut energy costs, modernise outdated equipment, improve efficiency and, increasingly, navigate the transition to a low‑carbon, more sustainable future. The trust our clients place in us is something we never take for granted.

“As the company has grown, so too has the responsibility of running it. We now have a larger team, more complex projects and a wider role in supporting the region’s decarbonisation efforts. Diane and I recognised that our governance also needed to evolve to match this next stage of our development.

“Appointing our first Non‑Executive Director is an important step in strengthening how we lead and manage the business for the long term.”

We are pleased to welcome David Kidney to this new role. David brings a rare combination of experience: legal expertise from his early career as a solicitor; political insight from his time as a Member of Parliament; and a deep understanding of energy markets and environmental sustainability from his work as a Minister in the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
