Staffordshire Low Carbon Business Evolution Programme (LCBEP)

The Low Carbon Business Evolution Programme is a European Regional Development Funded project that supports eligible business to reduce their carbon footprint and increase energy efficiency across Stoke on Trent & Staffordshire LEP areas. sben has made it their mission to support organisations to achieve long term sustainability and maximise business opportunities through innovative environmental activity.

 

Eligibility

  • Be situated in and trading from Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire LEP area
  • Employ Fewer than 250 Full time Employees
  • Turnover of less than €50 million or a balance sheet of less than €43 million
  • Primarily trade business to business
  • Industries such as primary agriculture, retail, education facilities, social welfare, education facilities, banking and insurance are not eligible for support
  • Spend more than £3,000 a year on energy

Funding

  • 60% of the cost of energy or resource saving projects with grant funding between £2,000 and £20,000 dependent on the amount of carbon tonnes saved.
 

Projects

Any project that delivers a carbon saving can be considered, typical projects include:

  • Energy Efficient LED Lighting
  • Energy Efficient Heating
  • Destratification Fans
  • Heat Recovery
  • Water Efficient Devices
  • Insulation Improvements
  • Replacement of old and inefficient machinery
  • Variable speed drives
